Economy of Style
I have been working on a presentation package this past week for a potential client here in DC.
The concept for the project is an environment rich in color and texture with unexpected pieces and
a curated look. … on a limited budget. Ah yes, the caveat. But there’s no need to panic. One of my
favorite catchphrases is “from problems come opportunities”. It’s true. I find that my designs become
more distinctive, more dynamic when I am presented with a challenging floorplan, restrictive budget or
an “unconventional” collection of existing furnishings. This principle has proven true again with this
particular project – I’m really pleased with our initial selections. Check out the layouts below. So
chic and affordable, I could actually move in myself. Now that’s a first!
